Details

Day1:

Arrival Cairo International Airport, meet and assist with formalities and transfer to your Hotel for Overnight stay.

DAY2:
Our guide will pick you from your hotel to start your visit to the Citadel of Saladin, where panoramic views of the city of Cairo can be seen. Here you will also visit the spectacular Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the founder of modern Egypt. Your next stop will be at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where over 120,000 objects in its 107 halls – including the treasures of Tutankhamen (King Tut) – are exhibited. . You will then proceed back to your hotel in Cairo.

DAY3:
After breakfast, you will drive southwards to Egypt’s first capital, Memphis where you will visit the ruins of the temple of Ptah, the fallen colossal statue of King Ramses the 2nd and the Alabaster Sphinx of King Amenophis the 2nd. A short drive from Memphis lies the oldest, ancient cemetery of Sakkara. The world’s first monumental stone building, the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, built by the engineer Imhotep almost 5,000 ago, still stands. After visiting the complex you continue to one of the Mastabas (tombs) built nearby, such as those of Ptah-Hotep, Mereruca, Idut or Ti for an inside visit.

You will then proceed to the Giza Plateau, where the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World is found, the imposing Pyramids of Giza. During your visit to the Pyramids you will have time for unique photo opportunities of the three Pyramids from the Western Plateau. Continue down the valley where the guardian of this mortuary complex, the Mighty Sphinx, bears witness to the passage of time and man in eons of silence. Then Transfer to the
train station for your overnight Sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner on the
train. Overnight Sleeper train to Luxor.

Day 4:
Breakfast on the train. Arrival, meet and assist by our representative.
Start your Full Day Tour to West Bank by crossing the Nile, drive to the Valley of Kings; visit the tombs of various Dynasties, the return journey stop at the Colossi of Memnon which is two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile. Visit the Temple of QueenHatshepsut. Then we go to visit the East Bank – Luxor Temple to see its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great Proceed by
carriage then to Karnak, which is a serious of temples, built in
different reigns. Starting by the Avenue of Sphinxes visit the Unfinished
Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall with it’s 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks
of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the temple of Amon adorned
with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III
and the Sacred Lake then Transfers to the train station for your overnight Sleeper train to Cairo.Dinner on the train. Overnight on the train

Day 5:
Breakfast on the train. Arrival, meet and assist by our representative in Cairo
then Board your Vehicle for the approximate 2.5-hour drive to Alexandria. Alexandria Founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C., Alexandria is the shining pearl of the Mediterranean. Immortalizing Alexander’s name, the city flourished beyond all expectations into a prominent cultural, intellectual and economic metropolis. It was the renowned capital of the Ptolemies and the setting of the thrilling drama involving Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony and Octavius.


Begin with a drive through the colorful streets of Alexandria. View the unique architecture and experience the charming nostalgia of yesteryear. Visit the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqfa, an extensive three level funerary complex dating from the second century A.D.


Then proceed to the National Museum housing underwater photographs and statues from the ongoing operation to salvage artifacts from the sunken palace of Cleopatra. A scenic drive along the beachfront boulevard will take you to the Montaza Gardens where the summer palace of King Farouk is located. Stroll through the palm covered grounds and view the palace, still used today for official state functions. Next, proceed to the Bibliotheca Alexandria, one of the most unusual architectural masterpieces of the 21st century. Marvel at the ultra modern interiors as a library guide takes you through Alexandria’s crown jewel. Then proceed to your hotel in Alexandria for check In and overnight stay.

DAY6:

After breakfast, check out from hotel to start your journey to Rosetta, It is 60 kilometer from Alexandria. You will get to take a motor boat in the Nile and visit an island, the meeting point of the Nile and the Mediterranean as well as the castle where Rosetta stone was found.

In 1799, the famous “Rosetta Stone” was discovered here – a granite stele with texts incised in three languages, which made a major contribution to deciphering the hieroglyphs, and then starts your way back to your hotel to Cairo

DAY7:

Escorted transfer from hotel to airport and assistance with check in formalities for the flight End of services.

Important Notes: Comfortable walking shoes recommended. The sequence of visits may vary however all tour features and inclusions will remain unchanged.

Access to the Catacombs of Shawqafa is through a spiral staircase around an open central well with approximately 100 wide steps. Due to the musty and humid conditions in the catacombs, guests suffering from asthma and/or claustrophobia may experience discomfort on this tour and should take this into consideration.

A motorized wagon train transports passengers from the parking lot to the entrance gate of the Valley of the Kings. Pay toilets are found inside the Valley of the Kings in the form of chemical toilets housed in large ship’s containers. Bottled water while visiting Valley of the Kings and Karnak is recommended. No cameras or videos are allowed inside the tombs of the kings. Entry into the Valley of the Kings includes a visit to 3 tombs. The visit to the Tomb of King Tutankhamun at the Valley of the Kings requires an extra ticket . and is not part of the tour.


At the museum, guests must go through two (2) security checks before entering. No cameras or videos are allowed in the museum. The museum is not air conditioned but natural ventilation produces cooling breezes. There is an elevator in the museum, but at times it is not in operation.
Many vendors sell all sorts of souvenirs at the Pyramids, especially at the Western Plateau. What is being sold as papyrus at extremely cheap prices is nothing but painted banana leaves. Guests must be aware of great bargains at great prices! Please consult and seek the advice of your tour guide if you are not sure.
Shoulders and knees must be covered while visiting the Mosque. Shoes must be removed while in the mosque.
