Model 4143 RS-232 DB25 Automatic Fallback A/B Switch

Model 4143 features both pushbutton and remote switching. A transition from 5VDC to 0VDC on Pin 9 of the DB25 Common port triggers the Model 4143 to switch positions.

The PathWay® Model 4143 RS232 DB25 Automatic Fallback AB Switch allows the user the capability of sharing a single DB25 interface device connected to the COMMON port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports with local and remote access functionality. Remote access of the Automatic Fallback Switch can be accomplished using Pin 9 of the DB25 COMMON port.


Model 4143 RS-232 DB25 Automatic Fallback A/B Switch Features:
1) The switch ports are transparent to all data.
2) All 25 pins of the DB25 interface are switched.
3) All switched signals are passed via latching copper contact relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of a power loss or failure.
4) Control of the switch position using Pin 9 of the DB25 Common port or alternatively, the front panel pushbutton.
5) A transition from 5 VDC to 0 VDC on Pin 9 of the DB25 Common port triggers the unit to switch positions.
6) Custom length DB25 cables available.
