Just Close Your Eyes and Write…100 Poems in 100 Hours, chronicles the poetry and writing process of an interactive experiment to pen 100 poems in just 100 hours. The original intent of the writing project was to simply try to write 100 poems in 100 hours. However, with the use of an online social networking site, it became more than just a solo writing project. The book includes three sections. The first section contains the poems, notes, and comments as written by the author during the 100 hours. The revised and finalized versions of the 100 poems fill the second section. The third section includes brief biographies of those who directly inspired many of the poems.

Roughly 150 people participated in the interactive writing experiment by posting, commenting, and offering encouragement. Comments, inspirations and encouragement came from more than 20 countries throughout the world including the USA, Poland, Canada, Kenya, Italy, India, Ghana, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Columbia, UK and more.

Isabel Kestner has periodically published her poetry in literary magazines and anthologies since the age of seventeen. Her first full collection of poetry, Strange Things She Heard, was released in 2009. Her second collection, Blackbird Sky, paints the portraits of many travelers, each one encompassed in a poem, each one with his or her own story. Yet each of them is a reflection of everyone and the current conditions of the society we live in. Her third book, Just Close Your Eyes and Write…100 Poems in 100 Hours, chronicles the poetry and process of an interactive experiment to write 100 poems in just 100 hours. The book documents each hour of the experiment in which roughly 150 people in over 20 countries offered online inspiration and encouragement and just over 100 poems were completed.
