QuickSwitch® 6290 Fiber Optic Mirror A/B Switch, SC Duplex, Single Mode with Remote Control and Gigabit Data Rate!

QuickSwitch® 6290 is a fiber optic Single Mode SC Duplex Interface A/B Switch with a Secure Remote Access. The Model 6290 allows the user the capability of accessing two separate Fiber Optic Networks or devices, ports A and B, via connection through a network device connected to the Common port. The SC Duplex fiber switch employs Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) based single mode switches. Insertion losses are less than 1.0 dB.

The switch may be controlled manually via a front panel pushbutton or remotely from an RS232 serial port (DB9) located on the rear of the unit.

Switch position status may be attained via the front panel LED display of the remote RS-232 serial port (DB9) located on the rear of the unit. If power to the Model 6290 is lost, the switch will maintain its position and continue to pass data. The front panel LED's display the current switch position and power status of the Model 6290. The A, B, and Common ports of the Model 6290 are Fiber Optic Single Mode SC Duplex ports that accept standard Fiber Optic SC duplex connectors.
