The QuickSwitch® Model 6280 LC Fiber Optic Multimode A/B Switch with local and remote access allows accessing of two separate Fiber Optic Networks or Devices connected to the COMMON port. Remote access can be accomplished by RS232 commands sent via the Remote Serial Port. Users can remotely monitor status and control switch functions.

The QuickSwitch® Model 6280 network A/B switch employs Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) based multimode switches. Model 6280 offers Gigabit data rates.

Model 6280 Quick Switch Fiber Optic Switch Features:

The switch uses MEMS mirror technology and is transparent to data and speed.
The switch is multimode and supports Fiber Optic wavelength of 1300 nm.
Front panel pushbutton control or Remote ASCII Command access through the serial port.
Front panel LEDs display the current switch position and power status.
DB9/Female RS232 Serial Port for remote control.
Switching time less than 1 msec.
Gigabyte data rate.
