The PathWay® Model 7270 Single Channel DB9 Interface A/B/C Switch provides single channel switching in a low profile, 19-inch 1U rack unit. The Model 7270 DB9 Switch allows the user the capability of sharing a single DB9 interface device connected to the Common port among three other devices connected to the A, B, and C ports.

The network switch may be controlled locally by manually operating the front panel pushbutton or remotely from the DB9/female serial interface Control port located on the rear of the unit. The front panel LED display indicates the switch position and unit power status.

Quickly, easily, access three DB9 devices from one.

All 9 pins of the DB9 interface are switched.
The switched ports are transparent to all data.
Remote control via ASCII commands allows user to change
switch position and query the unit for present switch status.
Latching relays maintain connection and switch position during power loss.
Efficiently packaged in 19-inch rackmount configuration, occupying
only 1U panel height (1.75").
