The largest of SEM's Medium Heavy Duty Disintegrators, provides high volume destruction with minimal space requirements. The Model 23 HDS, like all SEM disintegrators, meet all NSA/CSS 02-02 requirements for the destruction of paper documents. This "Basic" system configuration comes complete with Disintegrator and Dual Bag Air System. SEM Disintegrators deploy SOLID STEEL ROTORS with 5/8” thick Knives and 7 hold down Bolts per knife. This design generates greater “Rotational Inertia” resulting in more durable cutting system with increased cutting power to handle more dense and larger volumes of material. SEM coined the term disintegrator over 40 years ago. Today we have more units in use in more maximum security installation than any other company. SEM disintegrators use proven rotary knife mill technology to destroy virtually any bulk material. When used with the proper waste sizing screen, all SEM disintegrators meet the requirements of: NSA/CSS 02-02 for the destruction of paper, NSA/CSS 04-02 for the destruction of optical media, NSA/CSS 04-01 for the destruction of key tape.
