This SEM Disintegrator has been evaluated by NSA and with the standard 3/32" screen, meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-02, High Security Disintegrators and NSA/CSS 04-02, Optical Media Destruction Devices. This medium duty disintegrator features a large 12" x 20" feed opening and up to 800 lbs./hour max. thruput capacity (500 lbs/hour NSA). It features a 5 Blade Cutting system with an 3 Bladed Solid Steel Rotor and two stationary knives. Energy Efficient 25HP Motor@460V/3/60Hz (European Voltages Available). This "Basic" System comes complete with Single Bag Waste Evacuation System. SEM Disintegrators deploy SOLID STEEL ROTORS with 5/8” thick Knives and 8 hold down Bolts per knife. This design generates greater Rotational Inertia resulting in more durable cutting system with increased cutting power to handle denser and larger volumes of material. SEM coined the term disintegrator over 40 years ago. Today we have more units in use in more maximum security installation than any other company. SEM disintegrators use proven rotary knife mill technology to destroy virtually any bulk material. When used with the proper waste sizing screen, all SEM disintegrators meet the requirements of: NSA/CSS 02-02 for the destruction of paper, NSA/CSS 04-02 for the destruction of optical media, NSA/CSS 04-01 for the destruction of key tape.
