This SEM Disintegrator has been evaluated by NSA and with the standrad 3/32" Screen, meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-02, High Security Disintegrators and NSA/CSS 04-02, Optical Media Destruction Devices. Ideal for medium volume destruction of paper, optical media and a variety of media in various waste particle sizes. Rated by the NSA at 250 pounds per hr for High Security and up to 550 pounds per hr for Non Classified applications. Comes with a single bag air evacuation waste collection system. Recommended room size for this equiptment: 10' D x 7' W x 6'6"H, The SEM Model 3 Disintegrator is a popular Light / Mid Duty Disintegrator, providing high volume destruction in excess of 600 lbs/hr ( Up to 250 Lbs per hr at NSA approved levels ) and minimal space requirements. SEM Disintegrators deploy SOLID STEEL ROTORS with 5/8” thick Knives and 10 hold down Bolts per knife. This design generates greater Rotational Inertia resulting in more durable cutting system with increased cutting power to handle denser and larger volumes of material. SEM coined the term disintegrator over 40 years ago. Today we have more units in use in more maximum security installation than any other company. SEM disintegrators use proven rotary knife mill technology to destroy virtually any bulk material. When used with the proper waste sizing screen, all SEM disintegrators meet the requirements of: NSA/CSS 02-02 for the destruction of paper, NSA/CSS 04-02 for the destruction of optical media, NSA/CSS 04-01 for the destruction of key tape.
