The DX-CDm™ Data Destroyer securely and permanently removes digital information from optical media with no power required. This lightweight, portable device completely and permanently grinds the information layer off of the media and is 100% effective. All data is eliminated with no possibility of forensic recovery. Operation time is a fast 10 seconds per disk. Data layer is ground into a fine powder leaving a polycarbonate disc with no trace of the original data. The disc can then be recycled or thrown into the trash. All data is eliminated completely and permanently and there is no possibility of forensic recovery. UNITED STATES: National Security Agency (NSA ) The DX-CDm has been evaluated by NSA and meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 04-02 for CD Media Destruction. The DX-CDm also meets NIST SP 800-88 standard for Optical Disc Destruction and is HIPAA, FACTA, Sarbanes-Oxley and Gramm-Leach-Bliley compliant. CANADA: G1-001 Security Equipment Guide (SEG) The DX-CDm and the DX-DVDm meets the requirements of the Canadian Royal Mounted Police (RCMP) for listing in the G1-001 Security Equipment Guide (SEG) as an approved device for the destruction of all Classified and Protected information on optical media when used in accordance with the operating instructions. Please Note: this device was evaluated prior to the release of NSA/CSS specification 04-02. Device was not evaluated for durability. Adhesive labels may prevent destruction of the data and may significantly reduce the device functionality and/or durability.
