No power required manual operation. This hard drive crusher meets the NSA Degauss and Destroy Requirements when used with an NSA approved degausser. Six tons of crushing force is exerted on hard drives. Destruction time is five seconds. This MANUAL hard drive "crusher" destroys all hard drives regardless of their size, format or type (from .65 to 1.6 inch), including laptop drives. The Model 0100 HD Crusher delivers a staggering 6,000 pounds of force to a conical punch causing catastrophic trauma to the hard drive chassis while destroying the internal platter. The unit should be mounted to a table or purchased with the optional custom heavy duty stand. Destruction takes only 5 seconds. Made in USA. Unit displayed on optional stand. Ideal for use in Data Tape Destruction to remove “Inner Metal Hub and Spring” prior to feeding an SEM Disintegrator. Drive Types: Personal Computer and/or Notebook style Hard Disk Drives regardless of their size, format or type from .65” to 1.6” thickness, Unit needs to be bolted to a table or work bench. Pre-drilled holes are included in the base. An “Optional” Heavy Duty Stand is available.
