It will only trim the amount that the ookletmaker will allow. So if someone asks "will it trim a 300 page booklet?" the answer would be no because the Sprint 5000 will only handle a 22 sheets which could potentially be an 88 page booklet or on the Sprint 3000 a 25 sheets which could potentially be a 100 page booklet.

If you detach the unit from the bookletmaker it will not function alone. The bookletmaker would take up to 22 sheets, jog them square, staple in the center and fold them in half.
If the trimmer was attached it would then feed that folded booklet to the trimmer to face trim the edge of the open end of the book not the sides.
