Details

Hi-5 is a managed service that protects production servers when the Maximum Tolerable Outagefor those servers is less than 2 hours. The protected server is completely imaged onto a backup appliance maintained in the client’s office. After the initial image has been created, block level updates keep the backup image in sync with the production server. In addition to the office based backup appliance, the backup image is also mirrored at enterprise class data centres.

Fully managed, covering the protected server for a full range of risks, Hi-5 is both cost efficient and hands-free giving your IT department freedom from the time consuming but essential task of data protection. Best of all, Hi-5 provides this enterprise class security with a price tag you would expect to see associated with a standard data backup service. DataFort’s unique combination of large scale automation and economies of scale allow us to provide this service at a price even your Financial Director will endorse.

How does Hi-5 work?

An initial image is taken of the server to be protected, this will be stored both in a backup appliance maintained at the business premises and at enterprise class data centres. Throughout the day block level updates are added to the image so that it is always ready as a resource if recovery is needed. These updates are mirrored at the data centre and customer’s opting for cloud recovery will be able to order an invocation of their servers so employees can continue to work if access to the business premises is lost. Other options for disaster recovery include bringing servers loaded with your business's functioning virtual images to alternative premises within one business day of the reported failure.

Does Hi-5 work with virtual servers?
It does not matter if servers are physical or virtual we can arrange to protect your entire server infrastructure.

What if our DR strategy includes recovering to an existing branch office?
DATAFORT can support the maintenance of DR servers in existing premises so that they are ready within a short time of disaster striking another office.

Does Hi-5 meet Financial Services Authority compliance guidelines?
Recovery time objectives can be structured so that your customers never realize there has been a loss of a production server.
Geographically diverse backups. We have vaults at several UK based data centres which meet FSA guidelines of storing backups at least 7 miles away from the business premises.
Maintenance of long-term read-only archives. Hi-5 maintains server images from the point of installation onwards on a predetermined rotation that you select at the start of a service relationship.
Can Hi-5 provide mailbox and email recovery?

Hi-5 for Exchange Server provides recovery of emails, mailboxes, datastores or the entire Exchange Server from the last image update or an earlier recovery point.
