The WorldSharp™ 1099 Preparation System is used to import, enter, print and electronically report all 1099 forms. The system currently supports tax forms 1096, 1098, 1098-C, 1098-E, 1098-T, 1099-A, 1099-B, 1099-C, 1099-CAP, 1099-DIV, 1099-G, 1099-H, 1099-INT, 1099-LTC, 1099-MISC, 1099-OID, 1099-PATR, 1099-R, 1099-S, 1099-SA, 3921, 3922, 5498, 5498-ESA, 5498-SA, 8935 and W-2G. (1042-S optional) It has a robust data import capability. It prints data on preprinted forms or prints data and forms on blank paper. It allows you to create a file for submitting forms and corrections electronically to the IRS.

The easy to use data entry program allows for input of all fields required for printing and electronic reporting of each form. Once the type of form is specified all screens are tailored to that type of form. There are two methods of entry, a rapid entry and a form view entry. In the form view entry, the fields appear on the screen exactly as they do on the printed form.

Data may be imported from ASCII files. The import process is controlled by user defined parameters. It can import files that are comma delimited, tab delimited, or fixed length records (Excel spreadsheets). Files in the IRS format may also be imported. For example one created last year or by another software system.

The system allows the user to make corrections to forms already reported. Many WorldSharp™ customers use mainframe computers for initial electronic reporting and use WorldSharp™ 1099 Preparation System to print and report corrections.

The Multi-company capability of the system allows it to handle many different types of forms and forms for many different companies. This capability makes the system ideal to use even in a service bureau environment.
