Details

QuickSwitch® 4199 Gigabit Fiber Optic A/B/C/D Switch converter, multimode, all optical switch is designed with fiber optic mirror technology. The signal is received by the unit as an optical signal over the fiber strand, is redirected by mirror mechanisms, and leaves the unit as an optical signal over a fiber strand (OOO).

QuickSwitch® 4199 allows a Cat 5e device connected to the unit's COMMON connector to access any of the four fiber optic networks connected to the A, B, C, or D ports. Switch position can be changed via A/B/C/D front panel pushbuttons.

The QuickSwitch® 4199 SC Duplex ports are transparent to all data. Each A, B, C and D pushbutton corresponds to a rear-panel fiber connector. Corresponding front-panel LEDs indicate the switch position. The Model 4199 has Switch Position Memory. When power is lost, the Model 4199 automatically remains in the last position. When power returns, the Model 4199 remains in the last position.

QuickSwitch® 4199 Fiber Optic Switch / Converter Features:

Optical Scalability, Bit-Rate Transparent, Service/Protocol Transparent.
Supports the sharing of a single Gigabit Ethernet CAT 5e RJ45 COMMON port
or device among four SC Duplex fiber optic interface devices or networks, 62.5 µm.
