KLPS-D DOAS Fan Terminal Unit
Krueger is proud to announce the release of the new Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) fan powered terminal unit, the KLPS-D. Industry standards, building codes and LEED are requiring tighter control of ventilation rates. As building loads become lower with increased energy saving equipment, the required percentage of ventilation air increases. To accommodate this, engineers are now using DOAS in many of their designs and it is becoming the new standard for projects. Now Krueger has the perfect product for this application, the KLPS-D.

The KLPS-D provides a sensible cooling coil that is located on the induced air inlet of a series fan powered terminal unit. The primary air inlet is supplied from a DOAS air handler and is sized to handle the ventilation requirements for the zone. Standard hot water and electric reheat are available as well as an optional MERV 8 filter for use during the construction cycle, which can qualify for a LEED point. With the benefits of a DOAS air handler and the KLPS-D, Krueger can provide a cost effective, flexible design that still meets all the building requirements for conditional air.

KLPS-D Features and Options:
- Cooling coil designed to handle sensible cooling load in the space.
- 4 position self contained pressure-independent ventilation air valve controller.
- MERV 8 Filter to earn 1 LEED point for Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Credit 3.1 Construction IAQ Management Plan – During Construction.
- ECM motor with the new ACU Controller to help towards achieving Energy & Atmosphere (EA) LEED Points.
- Standard hot water or electric reheat options including the new Solid State Relays (replaces Mercury Contactors) or Krueger’s patented LineaHeat.
