Details

SPC-MST is an ultra compact (1.5U) fiber optical solution that delivers a mix of TDM and Ethernet services at a fraction of the cost of traditional SDH equipment. This device enables the Service Provider to leverage legacy network investments by adding new services today while preparing the migration path towards the IP network.

SPC-MST is configured as a Terminal Multiplexer (TM) that integrates SDH and L2 switch fabric to combine TDM & Ethernet services in a STM1 link up to 155,520 bps. It has 4 slots for service modules to support various combinations of traffic. With 2 aggregation optical STM-1 interfaces. SPC-MST can offer the service provider SNCP protection mechanism. It can be applied into different transmission methods. Its design of hot swap on optical card makes this product can correspondent to different transmission distances and application types.

SPC-MST has a centralized control architecture that limits the presence of processors and software to the main board. Tributary (plug-in) cards have no on-board processors and may be reused from one piece of equipment to another, or retrieved from stock without concern for software versions. SPC-MST also offers local and remote software upgrade.

SPC-MST provides an easy to use and powerful EMS interface that allows the user to control the whole system at all times, it complies with the Telecommunication Management Network (TMN) concept giving it flexibility to connect to NMS systems.
