Record Navigator - Rich GUI Database, Record and Category Navigation
“Navigation between environments and masterfiles has always been a challenge. Restricting unauthorized access through current tools has been impossible.”
The Record Navigator achieves both of these objectives in a fast, efficient, and visually rich manner. By directly retrieving database information from across your organization's environments, the Record Navigator serves as a central point of reference for administrators and application coordinators who have a need to visually inspect system data in its native format. Linking between networked records is as easy as double-clicking, and a complete list of links, contacts, pointers and navigation history is maintained for your users. Finally, security keys are provided to restrict access to PHI and restricted billing information to only authorized groups.
Rapid Search - Complex Constraints and Real-Time Results
“Flexibility and simplicity in a database search tool to improve mean-time-to-remediation and improve the productivity of your support staff.”
Rapid Search greatly extends your capabilities in querying and managing the vast content within an EMR system. A sequential constraint builder provides intuitive control over the logic in your search, and interim results are retrieved to help confirm you are on the right track. Once you are done, you may export your results to Excel, save them for use in other CyPace tools, generate rich reports, or store the settings to be scheduled as a job.
Cross-Environment Compare – Database Consistency and Radical Time Savings in One Tool
“The workhorse of the Analytics Toolset, this tool literally saves a dozen person-hours every time it completes a one-minute, six-environment, 30k record compare.”
The sheer work effort and technical know-how required to perform a large cross-environment record comparison has kept many organizations in the dark regarding their data's consistency across servers. With the Cross-Environment Comparison Tool, this arduous task becomes a simple work-flow: Select your database, records, items and environments, and click Go. The results are color-coded to help with difference identification, and may be stored, exported to Excel, or saved for use in a scheduled Job.
Multi-Record Compare – Side-by-Side Data Comparison for Rapid Difference Discovery
The Multi-Record Compare tool operates within a single environment, allowing you to visually inspect up to 10 records side by side. To make this inspection easier, it conveniently color-codes the output and allows for custom filtering and other configurations.
Reporting and Charting – Professional Quality Custom and Packaged Reports
The Report and Charting tool interfaces with Rapid Search to allow for the creation of custom reports. In addition, visual charting capabilities are offered, but presently confined to packaged content.
Job Scheduler – Integrated Job Scheduling with an Outlook-like Interface
The CyPace Job Scheduler is currently compatible with all CyPace modules with a jobbed component. Future incarnations will include interfacing with your Batch Scheduler.
Real-Time Security Console – The Central Hub for the first Proactive Security Module
“At one glance is our entire security paradigm. The direct availability of relevant information is staggering.”
The CyPace security solution is centered around the Real-Time Console. It provides an authorized user a direct view into the entire security system at work in their organization. System generated events are separated from CyPace-originating events, but both can be used to launch into incredibly detailed and rapid retrievals of relevant auditing and access-related data. As events are generated on the server, they are instantly brought to the console, where they may be configured for display or alerting according to the requirements of the security team.
Proactive Rule Builder – Customized Security Rules with Real-Time Notification
“The concept of proactive auditing is rarely achieved without system degradation, this tool is one such achievement.”
The Rule Builder allows for the creation of a diverse set of rules to meet any requirements for system security, no matter how stringent. When the conditions in these rules are met, the associated actions will be executed instantly. The ranges of options are many: the user's future actions may be captured, before and after details of changes may be stored, even the user's session may be terminated, and many more...
Fast Journal Dive Tool – Targeted Search-and-Retrieval in the Infamously Large Journals
“The dark ages of journal-avoidance are over. This tool returns the power of the journal files back to the system administrators.”
Historically, the journal files have been difficult to manage due to their size, obfuscation and transitory nature. However, the primary reason for these issues was that most attempts at searching them were not initiated with specific criteria. By engaging very specific components of the massive journals that are known to contain the needed information, the scope and duration of the search are reduced a hundredfold. Perhaps the best part is that the journal information itself, which is very difficult to make sense of, has been translated to a more meaningful state, and the tool can even determine the answer to the all-important question, 'Who?' for you.
Forensics Event Viewer – Additional Details on Rule-based Events
While the console provides a real-time overview of currently occurring events, the Forensics Event Viewer contains the history and specifics stored within.
Edit Trail Viewer – Item Edit Trail and Extended Edit Trail, Simplified
This tool is provided to assist organizations trying to make more sense of their existing system audit data. It provides tools for filtering out false-positives and includes a built-in report view.
“Scribe provides futuristic tools for documenting the work of IT professionals in clinical systems. Not only does it capture the actual discrete data modifications, it also proactively watches for unauthorized or unintended changes and can ensure consistency across the enterprise.”
Scribe© Integrated Documentation System – A Paradigm Shift in Build Documentation
Scribe combines the best technologies from the other CyPace modules to create an interactive build documentation system that will allow any organization to meet government audit requirements with ease. The primary deficiency in existing documentation technology is the lack of integration with the database layer, and thus the lack of ability to capture the actual discrete data. Instead, substitutions like screenshots, spreadsheets and flat files are typically employed, and standardization goes out the window. By integrating directly with the database, Scribe is able to capture the specifics on changes, and allow for versioning, state saving and build linking.
Cross-Environment Build Manager – Enterprise Build Consistency
The Build Tracker component of Scribe leverages the discrete data store to reach out to your environments and determine exactly which version of build resides in each. In addition, within a documented system, build tracker will ensure that all configuration and content remains in the current state until the responsible owner authorizes a new version. This powerful capability will drastically reduce the occurrence of configuration-related human errors and will allow your organization to meet government standards without difficulty.
