A NEW BITE SLEEVE has been invented by Dennis Rhode and Schweikert - Germany.

We have all had those dogs that bite the elbow or end of a bite sleeve. Well here is a remedy. Thanks to Schweikert's quality manufacturing and Dennis Rhodes brilliant idea they have deliberately hardened those ends (under the sleeve cover) in order to make the areas less pleasant for the dog to grip, thereby teaching the dog to shift his grip to a more appetizing (pleasing) surface…

THE CENTER OF THE SLEEVE.

I tried it for the first time last week in Indonesia, and found it to be a ingenious training tool. I experienced far more success than the with other less innovative sleeve covers, such as those with the plastics coverings over the elbow and lower arm..

It has typically been my experience that when a dog can see the visual aids such as plastic on the sleeve cover, it never really rectifies the problem or better still understand it, it merely acts in avoidance to the visual stimulus.

Never allowing the problem to occur in the first place would be the ideal solution, but we don’t always have that liberty.

With the use of this new Schweikert sleeve the dog never works out that it’s the hard edging shaping him to bite a centered grip. Instead, the dog simply learns through successive approximation and joy of the grip.

Any learning the dog does on its own is better remembered, more robust, and more fulfilling to the dog.
