Model 7747 RS530 DB25 A/B Switch with Cut-Off and Remote Control Port

Applicable to ANY DB25 Interface!


The PathWay® Model 7747 RS530 A/B Switch with Cutoff and Remote Control allows the user the capability of sharing a single DB25 interface device connected to the Common port among two other DB25 devices connected to the A and B DB25 ports. The Model 7747 also allows the user to set the switch to the CUT-OFF position, which stops any and all data throughput via the switch.

The switch may be controlled locally by manually operating the front panel pushbutton or remotely from the DB9 Control port located on the rear of the unit using either contact closures or an RS232 command interface. The front panel LED display indicates the switch position and power status.

Features:

Switch one RS530 interface channel to either A, B, or full CUT-OFF for secure isolation.
The DB25 connectors for A/B/COMMON ports are M/M/F.
Switches all 25 pins of the DB25 interface.
Switch locally via front panel pushbutton.
Switch remotely via RS232 serial or contact closure signaling.
Remote control port allows off-site monitoring and switch management.
Secure Off-Line switch position.
CUT-OFF switch position stops any and all data throughput for the unit.
Front panel LED's display switch position and power status.
If power is lost, the switch will safely move to CUT-OFF position until power is restored. Then it will recover to the programmed default position.
Attractive anodized black box packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding.
Custom length DB25 data cables for this switch is available.
