Model 7212 Remotely Controllable DB25 A/B Switch

Ideal for remote control applications.

The PathWay® Model 7212 Remotely Controllable DB25 Interface A/B Network Switch allows the user to share a single DB25 interface device connected to the Common port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports. The Model 7212 network switch may be controlled manually via pushbutton or remotely from an RS-232 serial port located on the rear of the unit. Switch position status may be attained via front panel LED display or via remote RS232 serial port.

Operation:
Switched Ports: The switched DB25 ports are transparent to all data. The ports may be switched via the front panel pushbutton or the remote control port on the rear of the unit.

Switch Control: The switch position may be controlled manually via a front panel pushbutton located on the front of the unit, or remotely from a remote RS232 serial port located on the rear of the unit. To switch manually simply press the front panel pushbutton and the switch will change to the new selected position as indicated by the front panel LED's. Remote switching of the unit is done through an RS232 (DB-9) serial port located on the rear of the Model 7212, which may be connected to any standard RS232 port on a computer.
