Details

This unique tour offers you a cooking class in the home of Countess Rosabelle in Paris.

Born in 1960 on an Alberta ranch, near Calgary, Countess Rosabelle left Canada with her parents -East European aristocrats-at the age of 11, first to North Africa, then to the wonderfully hospitable South-West of France. She became a student in Paris and with a degree in English Literature and Art History, she worked for almost twenty years in the art business before completely changing her professional activity to teaching her "Introduction to French cooking" courses.

Taking a cooking class with Rosabelle in her home is a very relaxing and personal experience.

Itinerary
Reach the Countess' home at 2000h (8pm) for your cooking course with dinner. The cooking class is limited to a group of four people which ensures everyone has the chance to interact with the English-speaking cook.

You will learn to prepare a three course sample menu consisting of

Souffle aux trois fromages
Poulet a l'estragon
Tarte au chocolat noir

Each participant is handed a copy of all the recipes in English, which are read, then explained either in English, French or both with special attention given to the culinary vocabulary.

The practical “hands-on” class starts 10 minutes later. Everybody takes an active part in the making of all the recipes (peeling, chopping, stirring, tasting, etc).

Preparation and cooking are done in Rosabelle’s kitchen; meals are served in the dining-room and last between 45 minutes and an hour.

While enjoying a quick cup of coffee or herbal tea in the sitting room, you can gather the recipes that have been annotated, add a cover-sheet with the “menu of the day” and bind them with a piece of ribbon.
